How to Obtain Incentive Certificate in Tanzania

Updated: Aug 30

Overview

The Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) issues Certificates of Incentives under the authority granted by Part III, Section 17 (1-8) of the Tanzania Investment Act, 1997. Holders of this certificate are eligible for various investment incentives as outlined in the Act. For enterprises involved in the Mining and Petroleum sectors, approvals must follow the procedures set out in their respective laws (the Mining Act of 2010 and the Petroleum Act of 2015). However, TIC is available to assist investors in obtaining the necessary permits and authorizations required by other regulations to establish and operate investments in Tanzania.
